Lyon is the same fabric as Cashel Linen but with the inclusion of a woven check border, separating the fabric into a series of 3.5" x 3.5" (9cm x 9cm) squares.
Lyon is often used for tableware and cushions but it is also great for cross stitch designs, particularly when you want to create a finished project with lots of different but related pictures, such as numbers samplers/letters samplers/ zodiac designs/months through the year/advent designs etc. etc.
