Send your clear photograph in the pre-addressed envelope enclosed, within 28 days (UK only) from receipt of your picture you will be sent a clear, easy to follow cross stitch chart along with your original photograph, plus, easy to follow instructions. Each photograph when converted will enable you to cross stitch a beautiful heirloom.
You can send in virtually any colour photograph up to 8in. x 10in. Your personalised chart reproduces the photograph's colours stitch by stitch. 48 DMC colours are used to give perfect results.
At the top of your chart you will find each symbol listed with the corresponding DMC colour number. By using different stitch counts of Zweigart Aida Fabric you can vary the size of your picture. For example, by using the most popular 14 count aida your picture size will be 8in. x 10in., with 18 count it will be slightly smaller, and 11 count will be slightly larger.
Do not forget that you can also convert antique photographs into black and white or sepia tone charts giving gorgeous results, and you can even request that your design be charted using DMC tapestry wool numbers instead of stranded cottons, for stitching on canvas. Stitch-a-Photo is not recommended for complete beginners. Enclosed in the package is a helpful leaflet explaining how you can get the best possible results from your photographs, and answers to all the most commonly asked questions.Fabric and threads are not included.
